Imam-ul-Haq, born 22 December 1995, is a Pakistani cricketer. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) awarded him a central contract for the 2018-19 season in August 2018.

After this incident attracted much attention, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) first refused to comment, claiming it was a player’s personal matter.
Later, PCB Managing Director Wasim Khan stated that Imam was “remorseful and has apologized” for his actions.
“Imam was remorseful and apologized for everything that had happened, as well as admitting his mistake.” He said that the situation became out of hand owing to a misunderstanding.
“However, we made it clear to him that, while this is his personal and private matter, we expect our players to uphold the highest standards of ethics and discipline.”
He also added stating, “Hopefully, we will not see such incidents again.”

Imam recently appeared on one of the episodes of Hassan Choudhary’s The Talk Talk Show, where Hassan questioned the question, “What qualities do you seek in your future wife?”
Imam said, “There should be the element of respect between the two. We should both feel equal in the partnership. Aside from that, she should be nice and outgoing like myself.”
Imam made an appearance on an episode of Hasna Mana Hai a year ago, where he received a marriage proposal from a lady.

He scored 157 runs in the first innings and 111 runs not out in the second innings of a match against Australia in 2022.
During the second innings of the match, he made a partnership of 252 runs for the first wicket with Abdullah Shafique, which became Pakistan’s highest partnership against Australia for any wicket.
